Presence & Chat

See where collaborators are pointing and send messages during a session.

During a shared session, presence cursors and chat help everyone stay on the same page.

Presence cursors

Everyone sees where the others are pointing in the 3D view. A presence cursor tracks the atom it points at — so even as a trajectory plays, the cursor stays on the right place in the structure.

The host can turn cursors off if they prefer a cleaner view.

Should show: the 3D view with two or three labelled cursors, each tagged with a collaborator's name, pointing at different atoms in the structure.

Chat

Send text messages to the session. Each message shows your name and the time it was sent, so the group can discuss what they're looking at without leaving the session.

Should show: a chat panel with several messages, each labelled with the sender's name and a timestamp, and a text box for typing a new message.
